William Summers Jr

William Thomas Summers Jr. was born in Jonesboro, Arkansas on May 30, 1952
and passed away on February 26, 2021 in Nashville, TN. He is survived by his wife
of 42 years Doris Jean Summers of Murray, KY, three daughters; Sarah Summers of
Viroqua, WI., Lori Cauthen and son-in-law Chris Cauthen of Queen Creek AZ,
Stephanie Summers of WI. Eleven Grandchildren: Nolan, Austin, Ava, Chase, Preston,
William, Lucas, Emily, Rene, Lulu and Tanya. His sister, Susan Burns and
brother-in-law Bill Burns of Chandler AZ and his Mother, Christine Summers of
Jonesboro, AR. He was preceded in death by his father, William Thomas Summers
Sr of Jonesboro AR and a niece, Crystal Brooke Burns of Chandler AZ.
William was in National Guard for 6 years and attended Arkansas State University
for printing. He worked at W. A. Krueger in Jonesboro, AR and spent 21 years
working at Quad/Graphics, Inc. in Pewaukee WI. He started out as a stitcher operator/
supervisor and progressed to teach experiential outdoor education and leadership
classes. He spent 6-1/2 years at Abee Inc. in Oconomowoc, WI building and inspecting
ropes courses and training experiential education instructors. He earned his certification
as a Body Pump instructor through Les Mills and taught Body Pump
classes at the MCCH Center for Health and Wellness in Murray, KY. He loved to
play guitar, hunt, ride his Harley and teach. He said, " In order to become a good
leader, you must learn to be a good follower."
