William Rutan Jr.

LaVergne TN- William T Rutan Jr (Ted),69 passed away on June 16,2017 at Alive Hospice in Nashville, TN with his family at his side. William(Ted) was born on August 4, 1947 in Canonsburg,PA to William T Rutan Sr and Shirley Mae (Mcnary) Rutan. William (Ted) grew up in Erie, PA and attended local schools. William (Ted) was a US Navy Veteran during the Vietnam War honorably discharged in 1965. William (Ted) married Linda L Franklin in Nashville TN on April 29,1998. They were happily married and devoted to one another for 19 years. William (Ted) was a member of the American Legion of Erie, PA, Smith Wilson/Stone River CMT ABATE. William (Ted) enjoyed hunting, camping, Nascar, and riding his Harley motorcycles. William (Ted) is survived by his wife Linda Rutan of LaVergne, TN, his children Shawn Rutan of PA, Rick Willette of LaVergne, TN, Cheryl Willette (Glen) of Greenfield, MA, Mother in Law Eva K Franklin of Hinsdale,NH, sister Nancy Rutan Porter(Randy) of Concord, NC, six grandchildren from AZ, VT, and FL. Several nieces, nephews, and a large group of close friends. William (Ted) was proceded in death by his father William T Rutan Sr , mother Shirley Rutan, brother Curt Rutan and daughter Jaime Rutan. At William's request there will be no services. In lieu of flowers or donations the family request them to be made to Alive Hospice 1718 Patterson St Nashville, TN 37203.
