Rebecca Smith

On September 3rd 2021, and after a 4-year Courageous and Hard-fought battle with Metastatic Breast Cancer, at 42 years old, Rebecca peacefully passed into the arms of her Lord and Savior, holding the hand of her husband, Michael D. Smith and surrounded by Zachary M. (Ayaka) Freedline, Hunter W. (Rachel) Freedline, and Jacob M. Freedline  her loving children. She also left behind an 8yr.old son, Ian L. Smith, two step children, Travis J. (Samantha) Smith, Jennifer C. (Zack) Crawford, five grandchildren, six sisters, and five brothers.  Rebecca was born May 23rd 1979 to Larry Babcock Sr. of Warren, PA. and Gwendolyn Piazza of Jamestown, NY. She was predeceased by her Grandfather Gerald Babcock, and Stepfather Salvatore (Sam) Piazza, both of Jamestown, NY.

Rebecca was a loving and dedicated Wife, Mother, Grandmother (Mommay), Daughter, Sister and Aunt. She was dearly loved by many friends and will be forever remembered for that beautiful smile, her kind and fun-loving nature and unwavering love for her family. She was devoted to her children, and was her husbands soulmate and best friend. A small cemetery service and celebration of life is planned after the placement of her ashes for the near future, and details will be posted on social media.
