Linda Timmer

Linda Sue Timmer, age 76, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, June 6 ^th , 2020.Linda is preceded in death by her daughter, Penelope "Penny" Vaughan, father, Arthur Thayer, mother, Ruth Hamill and sister, Marion Draper. She is survived by her loving husband Richard Timmer, son, Timothy (wife Tina) Parshall, daughters Gretchen and Jill Parshall and step-son, Randy (wife Stephanie) Timmer. She is survived by brothers, Jan and Joe Thayer, Dale Hamill and sisters, Julee Houlton, April Ashton, Sherrill Ian and Sharon Bunn. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Tim's son, Devin, Penny's daughter, Brandi, Randy's son, Jacob and Jill's children, Dalton and Tessa. Linda is also survived by five great granddaughters.Linda was vibrant and exceptionally personable and led an active life. She loved to travel and had an adventurous spirit which led her to try many things including skydiving! She was a very spiritual person who always had a very deep faith in God. She and her husband, Richard, attended St. Johns Lutheran Church in Nashville. Linda was a loving mother and wife to her family and an exceptional friend to anyone she met. She was very ambitious and got her degree in University Studies at MTSU in 1997. Her passions included cardplaying, gardening, traveling and spending time with her loved ones. A Celebration of her life will be held Saturday, June 20, 2020 at 11:00 AM, at the foundation where St. Johns Lutheran Church stood before the tornado leveled it. It would be Linda’s wish that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to help rebuild the Church she loved.
